We invented, designed and developed the world’s first 5G Connected Helmet for Deaf football players. Deaf football teams like Gallaudet University can't hear coaches shouting play routes — they rely on sign language. The AT&T 5G Helmet levels the playing field forever. It instantly displays routes and strategies on a player’s visor via 1:1 coach communication — finally giving Deaf players a shot at going pro. After 2.5 years of development, the helmet was approved by the NCAA and started being worn in official college football games from October, 2023.
