Alex got his first break in advertising at age of 12 when he discovered the lucrative world of eBay. Alex, or KoolKid1000 as he was known by his clients, honed his craft for persuasive writing whilst selling such products as paperweights, his sister’s stationery and anything else he believed his family members wouldn’t miss.

Despite his early success online, Alex went on to further study and completed a Diploma of Advertising at RMIT, as well as Australia’s renowned AWARD School. His folio and 100% Feedback Rating has since allowed him to earn positions at several respected Melbourne agencies as well as a shelf of dusty awards.

As a young freelance designer, Karsten worked hard to satisfy his clients and even harder to evade proper 9 – 5 employment - with rumours that he surfed more mid-week waves than any other creative in Melbourne.

Since succumbing to the “real world” many years ago, Karsten has worked at The Brand Agency and Ogilvy Melbourne where his reputation for hard work and craft earned him the role of lead Art Director on Ogilvy's biggest campaign of 2016. 

He, and his partner Alex, also recently became Cannes Young Lion Australia winners and ADMA’s Young Creatives of the Year.
